SECA

BACKGROUND
From 1st of January 2015, the EU Sulphur Directive 2012/33/EU requires a cut in sulphur emissions from all vessels operating on the Baltic Sea, the North Sea and the English channel (the Sulphur Emissions Areas SECA).

IMPACT ON COST
This means that ships must use fuel with a maximum of 0.1% sulphur content or adopt alternative solutions that achieve an equivalent effect.
This will result in increased fuel costs and a new SECA surcharge from the shipping lines. NTEX will therefore introduce a surcharge for each traffic area as below.

FOUNDED IN 2003
NTEX is a privately held company, founded in 2003, with our head office located in Gothenburg, Sweden. We are currently some 230 employees.

MULTIPLE OFFICES
In addition to our Gothenburg head office, we have offices in various Swedish cities. We also have international offices in the UK, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Finland and Poland.

3PL-BUSINESS
During 2013 we aquired RPG. This is a terminal for transshipment and third-party logistics, directly connected to the Port of Gothenburg. Also, with it's own Railhead, we have access to the Swedish and Norweigan rail network.

REVENUES
Our 2013 revenue was GBP 107 million and our expected revenue for 2014 is GBP 125 million.

NTEX currently has about 3 200 clients and manage approximately 100 000 consignments every year.
