Danish Road Tax
As of 1st January 2025, Denmark will implement a new road tax for all trucks over 12 tons as part of the Danish Government’s ongoing Green Transition programme.
ICS2 RELEASE 3 – IMPORT CONTROL SYSTEM 2: SHIPMENTS TO THE EU FROM NON-EU COUNTRIES
As of December 4, 2024, Import Control System 2 (ICS2) Release 3 will come into effect for sea and inland waterway transport. This introduces new requirements for pre-arrival submission of safety and customs information for goods entering the EU, including Norway, Switzerland, and Northern Ireland. ICS2 aims to enhance security by collecting detailed data about goods before arrival, supporting risk-based controls and promoting the free flow of legitimate trade.
Update on ETS Surcharge from 2025
We would like to remind our customers and stakeholders that the ETS surcharge will increase from 2025, as the coverage under the emissions trading system for shipping will rise from 40% to 70% of verified emissions. As before, we specify the ETS cost separately from our transport rates, meaning this increase will directly affect the surcharge.
