Danish Road Tax

As of 1st January 2025, Denmark will implement a new road tax for all trucks over 12 tons as part of the Danish Government’s ongoing Green Transition programme.
The new toll cost will depend on:
- gross vehicle weight (GVW)
- vehicle CO2 emission class
- distance travelled on primary roads
- additional surcharges are applicable in the low emission zones: Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Odense, Aarhus and Aalborg.
Therefore, from 1st February 2025, all shipments organised between UK and Denmark by NTEX are subject to a surcharge on the Danish road tax - for more information please see the download below.
